25th Session of the International Seabed Authority

The Council and the Assembly of the International Seabed Authority gathered in Kingston, the headquarter of the Authority, respectively from June, the 15th to the 19th and from June, 22 to 29th.

The main items to be discussed at the Council and Assembly meetings were the draft regulations on the exploitation of mineral resources in the deep seabed and the implementation of the ISA Strategic Plan 2019-2023. This 25th Session was also the chance of commemorate the 25th anniversary of the ISA, created by the Law of Sea United Nation Convention, signed in Montego Bay in 1982.
