Denys Wibaux is the ambassador of France in Jamaica since September 2018.
He is a career diplomat and a lawyer.
He has occupied various charges in the French diplomatic network abroad, in South America and in Europe. Prior to his assignment as ambassador of France in Jamaica, Denys Wibaux was the French ambassador in Bolivia.
As a lawyer in the French ministry of foreign affairs in growing positions, he has dealt with issues of international law, European law, transport law, economic law and others.
Seconded to the International Civil Aviation Organization in Montreal (Canada) for eight years, he was the General Counsel and number 2 in the secretariat of this UN system organization. In that capacity he worked especially on antiterrorism legal frameworks and aviation security.
Denys Wibaux has taught International law, European law and international relations in the University of Paris, the Ecole nationale d’administration and Sciences-Po Paris.
Denys speaks French, his mother tongue, English, Spanish, Italian and some German.
He has a master degree in International law and is a graduate of Sciences-Po Paris.
He is married and the father of three.
