The Embassy of France contributes to the renovation of a school in Papine, Kingston

The children of the Danny Williams School for the Deaf soon will enjoy a brand new playground, thanks to the Embassy of France in Jamaica!

Mrs. Line Despax and the Ambassador of France to Jamaica, Jean-Michel Despax, accompanied by a group of French and Jamaican volunteers who organized the Goût de France/Good France gastronomic dinner, went to the Danny Williams School for the Deaf in Papine on July 11, 2018, to hand deliver the proceeds raised during the dinner to Mrs. Maureen Simmonds, principal of the school, together with Mrs. Valerie Facey, president of the administration council of the Jamaican Association for the Deaf.

The Goût de France/Good France gastronomic dinner was held on March 21, 2018, and had been transformed into a charity dinner by Ambassador Jean-Michel Despax, to help renovate this school for deaf children.
